November, 2008: We had a wonderful time at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur California this October attending a weeklong workshop on CranioSacral Therapy.
This is a light touch therapy designed to detect and correct restrictions in the craniosacral system, which may be the cause of sensory, motor, or neurological dysfunction. The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth--which make up the cranium--down the the sacrum, or tailbone area.
In addition to a powerful workshop experience, we were refreshed and renewed by our stay at Esalen; an exceptional place to learn.
